Common Issues

  • If QR scanning does not work, check camera permission in iOS Settings for Lifespan.
  • If game progress looks wrong after an update, use the in-game save and restore options where available.
  • If iCloud Save Sync is on, make sure you are signed into iCloud with the same Apple ID on each device.
  • If a screen appears stuck, force close Lifespan and reopen the app.
  • If a leaderboard is empty, make sure you are signed into Game Center and that the app version supports the selected board.
  • If friends do not appear, make sure Game Center friend access is allowed for Lifespan.

iCloud Save Sync

Lifespan can optionally sync save slots through the player's own Apple iCloud account. It does not use a Lifespan account or a separate Lifespan save server.

If syncing is unavailable, check that iCloud Drive is enabled in iOS Settings and that the device is signed into iCloud.

Game Center

Lifespan can use Apple Game Center for optional leaderboards. Game Center names are public Game Center display names, not private Apple ID names.

If Game Center is unavailable, check iOS Settings, your network connection, and Game Center restrictions.

Friends

Lifespan can show Game Center friends and friend-only leaderboard views. Friend requests are handled by Apple's Game Center invite sheet.

Lifespan does not use a custom friend-code server. If friend access is denied, use iOS Settings to manage Game Center permissions.
